Oh that’s gonna be real rough for her. You may wanna limit they’re time together somehow. Or atleast get like 3-4 more girls. Typically though, about 11 hens to one rooster. Keep her safe!

I would start with 3 more. I think you should do well then. The 11 is an estimate. And the temper per rooster changes.

I have thought about getting a rooster for my small mixed flock.I have 1 silkie,1 easter egger,1 olive egger ,and 2 jersey giants.Would it be best to find a smaller breed of rooster?Or does it not matter?

The struggle is real I just made it through winter with one duck hen and two drakes ????????‍♀️ let me tell you that the boys have literally had to be jailed everyday this spring cuz there idiots ???????? but yeah def more hens I have three roosters one that has his own area and he’s got about 8 hens and then I have two bantam brothers in a coop with my ducks and 10 other hens and they all do great they were raised together if that makes a difference idk ????

Manny my hens backs are bald to like three of em and I got 14 to one rooster they have there fav!
