I have guinies and they only stay on the nest for a couple of hours a day
Are they eggs still going to hatch?

I mean, generally, guineas will hatch out, but ours sat almost all day on them.

I have put 12 eggs in a nest, 1 week later a had a hen setting. Good luck! It’s hard to make then do anything, but you could try! Also suggest putting them in the darker spot of the nesting boxes.

Start by providing a VERY private and dark nesting area a little away from the rest. Put in a couple of dummy eggs. Once she “takes” replace dummy eggs.

My dad used to make a nest and put eggs in it and put the chicken on the nest and cover it with a wooden box and every day he would let her off to eat and drink and more about and when he was done with chors he put her back on the nest and do that till they hatched work like charm

Get a couple of banty’s. I’ve always had great luck with pekins, silkies and bantyXs going broody constantly:) one of my little hens saved an entire clutch of Araucana & Polish eggs once when my power went out on day 16 of incubation- she wasn’t even broody – but as soon as i set her up in her own rabbit hutch nesting box with those warm eggs she hunkered right down and hatched them all!
